Flat feet, also called pes planus or fallen arches, is a condition where the arches of the feet flatten, causing the entire sole to touch the ground. It can result from genetic factors, insufficient development of arches during childhood, injury, or weakening of supportive tissues. Symptoms include foot pain, discomfort, and difficulty in walking or standing for extended periods.
If you are unsure about whether or not your symptoms require medical attention, please consult your foot doctor.
